Duties to perform:
The selected candidate is supposed to perform the following duties:
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to create doughs, batters, and other baked goods
- Knead dough by hand or using mixers to develop gluten and achieve the desired texture
- Operate ovens and bake products to ensure they are cooked to perfection, monitoring time and temperature
- Decorate cakes, pastries, and breads using icing, glaze, or other toppings, ensuring an appealing presentation
- Inspect baked goods for quality, checking for taste, texture, and appearance before packaging or serving
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and utensils, to adhere to health and safety regulations
- Track inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure continuous production
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to create unique baked goods that align with customer preferences
- Interact with customers to take orders, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction with products
- Manage baking schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery of products, especially for large orders or events
