- Apply fertilizers and pesticides as needed to promote healthy crop growth and protect against pests
- Operate combine harvesters and other machinery to efficiently harvest grain crops
- Properly store harvested grains in silos, bins, or other storage facilities to maintain quality
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm machinery and equipment
- Operate harvesting equipment such as tractors, harvesters, or hand tools under supervision
- Monitor crop health
- Maintain accurate records of planting, fertilizing, irrigation, and harvesting activities
- Implement weed control measures such as mechanical cultivation, herbicide application, and manual weeding
- Prepare fields for planting by plowing, tilling, and ensuring soil conditions are optimal for crop growth
